I have been meaning to share with you guys what supplements I take. However, I wanted to wait until I settled on a protein supplement that I really liked. Below are the four supplements that I take and why. I also made a YouTube video, its linked down below.
Multivitamin: Helps provide essential nutrients that you may not be getting from your diet. I take Nature’s Way, Alive! Women’s Gummy Vitamins. If you have watched any of my grocery hauls you would know that I don’t really buy sweets. So when I take these in the morning I feel like I am treating myself and it curbs my sweet tooth.
Fish Oil: Provides essential nutrients and helps prevent and manage heart disease. It is also said to help lower blood pressure. Even though I am a pescatarian I take fish oil to safe guard myself against heart disease and high blood pressure. Both of which run in my family. I take Nature’s Made Fish Old 1200 mg.
Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs): Essential amino acids that aid in delaying fatigue, help with recovery, and prevent muscle breakdown. I use 1Up Nutritions BCAA’s Glutamine & Collagen in the Candy Watermelon flavor. I mix my BCAAs with water and drink them during my workouts.
Protein: Important part of a balanced diet. One of the main nutrients required by the body. I use 1Up Nutritions Whey Protein Isolate in the Cinnamon French Toast flavor. I will mix it with a cup of almond milk and have a protein shake either before or after my workout.
